Integration is one of the first beers to come from our EQ Create poll we held. These beers represent an integration of you, the community, to our brewing formulation and a mathematical integration of all the community generated data that you provided. These are the first results of what we are calling our Community Juice Series. We took the top votes in categories for style, process, base, fermentation, and water profile and hit it with EVERY hop listed weighted by its voting frequency to make Integration.

Integration starts off with a base of wheats and oats and a fractal fermentation. We added Citra, Sabro, and Simcoe to the whirlpool and a dry hop of Citra, Galaxy, Riwaka, Nelson, Sabro, and Simcoe. So many hops!

Integration has aromas of bright citrus zest, orange slices, pine, stone fruit, and melon with flavors of fresh citrus pulp, pineapple, passionfruit, underlying coconut, and touch of berry finish. As requested, the #EQjuice is prominent throughout followed by a pointed bitterness.

These beers are made to be fun and we recommend enjoying them side by side so you can conduct your own research right from home.

Appearance - The beer poured a fuzzy orange- yellow color with a white head.

Smell - The beer had a pretty standard New England IPA nose with a moderate orange profile.

Taste - The initial taste was orange hops with some modest bitterness toward the back. Though not categorized as such, this is clearly a New England IPA. It fits the profile.

Mouthfeel - Unfiltered, there was a thick greediness to the feel.

Overall - as much as possible, this is an easy drinking New England IPA.

Pours a hazy orange with a finger of short lived white head. Aroma is a bit on the muted side but I get melon and citrus. Taste starts with melon but is quickly overtaken by orange and tangerine with notes of stone fruit. This starts pretty neutral but some sweetness appears in the long finish. Medium bodied with moderate plus carbonation. Overall this is a tasty beer but it doesn’t quite live up to my expectations for an Equilibrium brew. I’d rather have any number of other beers from EQ but this still beats most beers from other breweries.
