A randomizer chose Jeffrey Fischer's Escape Velocity as the next beer from our Community Juice Series. Escape Velocity is the minimum speed needed for a free, non-propelled object to escape from the gravitational influence of a massive body such as planet Earth.

We started with a base of Wheat and Oats and a hop bill of Citra and Simcoe before a heavy dose of hand-picked Nelson and added just a touch of lime zest.

Escape Velocity pours a beautiful bright yellow with aromas of fruity citrus, lime, and grass with flavors of orange, pine, Riesling white grape, berry, and lime in a creamy and delicate finish. This beer is bright and luscious with a dank mineral finish with infinite crushability.

Look: Hazy Golden with a thick white head

Aroma: citrus and tropical fruit, grapefruit

Flavor: The flavor is white bread, citrus and tropical fruit, tangerine, orange, lime, melon, a mild grapefruit rind like bitterness.

Body/Overall: Medium body. It is a mild but pretty good Pale Ale.

Pours a very hazed honey color with 2+ fingers of fluffed up cream colored head. Great head retention & lacing

S: Plenty of citrus, some tropical fruit notes

T: Lime, papaya, tangerines & a little dryness up front. More lime, tangerine & a little green melon, plus dryness as this beer warms up. Finishes dry with plenty of lime & some tangerine

MF: Medium body, soft carbonation, good balance

Very drinkable, solid summer time sipper, but will pass on another 4 pack, due to the high price-point

L: Pours a cloudy yellow. Less than a finger of head, recedes quickly.

S: Citrus, Lemon, lime.

T: Follows nose. No bitterness. Very tasty.

F: Medium body, moderate to high carbonation.

O: My favorite from this brewery and that says something. I hope they make this again soon.

A: The beer is rather hazy pale whitish yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lime are present in the nose along with notes of herbs - oregano seems to stand out in particular.
T: The taste has initial flavors of green grapes and limes with notes of oregano spices towards the finish.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, a bit crisp and rather juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This pale ale was quite aromatic and flavorful and had an interesting blend of fruit and herbs. I found the smell and taste of oregano to be quite unique.
