Killer Aussie Pinecones is a beer that was conceptualized during a near death experience during Pete's Aussie Adventure. Venomous snakes, crocodiles, sharks, and jellyfish are one thing, but if you're traveling to the land down under, keep an eye above you for the Killer Aussie Pinecones! These watermelon size cones weigh up to 22 lbs each and can strike you with the weight of a bowling ball from 100s of feet above.

Killer Aussie Pinecones starts with a base of pale malt, oats, and wheat before adding a combination of Bru-1, Enigma, Galaxy, and Simcoe.

Hazy Yellow and a floral fresh pineapple aroma greets you when you pop the top. Intense flavors of pineapple, orange slices, peach and papaya lead the way to a beautiful buildup of #EQjuice with a soft and creamy finish. Super drinkable for its ABV, Aussie Killer Pinecones will have you feeling like you were grazed by one after a can or two. Please look up!

This is a big beer. It really is triple strength. Has a little hop bite and a little booziness to it. It’s very good and the juicy hop aroma and flavor is there. Drinking it isn’t quite refreshing but a little “forced” and more of a sipper beer like a big stout.

When I saw the ibu I was excited. But the EQ ultra sweetness took over.

Pours a hazy pale orange with two fingers of dense, long lasting just off white head. Aroma is somewhat muted, it’s just vaguely tropical and fruity. Taste is full of ripe pineapple, peach, orange, and papaya. Starts a little sweet, has a quick spike of bitterness and then more sweetness in the finish. Very smooth and drinkable. Medium-full body and moderate plus carbonation. Another super tasty TIPA from EQ.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a murky amber with a frothy, long-lasting head. Great lacing. Initial impression is pineapple, mango, orange rind, on top of a caramel malt backbone. Mouthfeel is on the thick/sticky side of medium; carbonation is just enough. Alcohol is pretty well hidden, although you kind of suspect you might be drinking something with some serious heft to it. Finish is initially slightly sweet, but quickly fades to a slight bitterness on the back of your tongue. Overall, an excellent TIPA but one that demands your attention and respect!

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy pale yellow in color and has some brownish hues. It poured with a finger high white head that left lots of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of honeydew melon and spicy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has additional flavors of grapefruit citrus (in the initial taste) and pine (towards the finish). There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a touch more than medium-bodied, juicy, crisp, and "sticky" (in a resinous sense) on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is quite bold in flavor and can sneak up like a on you (like a Killer Aussie Pinecone) since the alcohol is well masked from the taste. I also really liked the complexity of the mouthfeel.

Triple IPA with 90 IBU
Ordered online and shipped from the brewery in a can. No can date, that's starting to aggravate me. For $22 on a 4-pack 16oz you should have a date on the can. Hazy, pale amber color. Dense, off-white head with very good retention.
I would almost say it is juicy but the hops get the upper hand at the end. Still a very enjoyable beer, like it!
