Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Company.
Dream Wave Inception takes Dream Wave Fluctuation’s hop bill of Citra and Galaxy and adds Motueka and Enigma along with a ton of flaked oats and a touch of lactose. Dreamwave Inception pours a hazy bright tangerine yellow and explodes with notes of citrus and stone fruit. Its flavors are orange tang, papaya, peach sorbet, and bright berry with a touch of lime and white grape juice. Juicy notes morph into a creamy finish and a pleasant balanced bitterness. Loaded with #EQjuice, this beer is the product of a fun day in the lab with our tie-dyed lab coats. More on the lab coat later...

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a murky light amber with a sizeable off-white head. Initial impression is juicy grapefruit, oranges, lemon, berries, and a touch of pine bitterness. Mouthfeel is soft but not full-bore NEIPA soft, and a little sticky. Finish is initially sweet gradually morphs to a slight bitterness in the back of the throat.
Collabs sometimes have a way of highlighting the worst of both breweries, but in Dream Wave Inception the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Overall, a very enjoyble DIPA.

From Batch: 3, canned 8.20.20. I assume this is the 3rd conception of this beer. Really, before I start out any beer rating, a tenet I have is that any beer conceived from a good pun gets a .25 bump in the ratings. So, from the emotive inspired OH 'dream' to the EQ 'wave' based particle physics, this Nolan rip-off has good bones.
A: Cloudy, hazy, most tepid looking hue of goldenrod. Orange rung through greyscale and mixed with dry cleaning runoff. Bright enough for being cloudy, but one of the more muted NEIPAs.
S: Citrus, pineapple nectar, rotting berries, and lychee were in the nose as the taste was just as sweet, sticky, and dirty in the sense that this felt like traipsing through a Sinoloan field of Ambrosia covered by blueberry bushes and peach trees. This dreaminess is one of the beer's highpoints.
M: Lots of oats to soften the feel; otherwise, a pale thin body. Lots of carbonation hides an aggressive booziness.
T: Sweet melon and orange fruit; grapefruit, pine, dank, cotton candy bubble gum, sour lime. Low bitterness. Moderate sweetness. A nice stickiness lingered in the back as the lactose and fruit combined for a nectarine sweetness of the "I have 10 minutes left to chew" bubblegum nature.
