Einstein’s Little Favorite is a pale ale form of a beer we love, Einsteins Favorite. First tested for Energy Evolution Day in 2019, we had a fun idea to treat a keg and mimic what was said to be Albert Einstein’s favorite dessert, Sticky Orange Cake. From there we made a bigger batch in Triple Form. For Energy Evolution 2020, we wanted to try a weeknight friendly version.
We took our pale ale base and hopped it with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Galaxy before a massive dose of Florida navel orange zest and Madagascar vanilla.
This easy drinking dessert themed beer has bright notes and flavors of fresh orange slices, vanilla frosting, and Mom’s birthday cake in and a smooth creamy #EQjuice finish. Smooth and chuggable, this is the beer you can drink and still get your equations in.

Hazy yellow color. Medium-sized white head. Orange peel, vanilla, and malt in the aroma. The taste is heavily influenced by vanilla. Sweetness balanced by some herbal bitterness.

Pours a hazy golden amber honey with a finger and a half of foamy head that slowly settles to a thin cap with some lacing. Aroma of orange with traces of pine and vanilla. Taste follows nose.

Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and delivered right to my door by Cat in the Glass
Pours a hazy apricot flesh coloured body with superb if slender white head
Aroma is inviting orange, and I am not that big a fan of orange
Flavour starts gourmet orange soda then instead of the sweetness hitting a big bitter kick

L: Slightly hazy amber color, two finger white head, ok lacing, light carbonation.
S: Orange peel in the maximum! Smells spectacular.
T: Orange peel, bitter, smooth. Delicious.
F: Light bodied, tons of flavors. Damn!
O: Frankly, one of the best pale ales I ever had.

Absolutely nailing the balance between hops and fruit, Quilibrium takes the New England-styled Pale Ale to the field of fruit and fauna with the aid of Florida naval oranges, Madagascar vanilla beans, and the hop blend of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Galaxy. This recipe is simply mind blowing.
Pale orange and strongly in the pretense of orange juice, Einstein's Little Favorite builds a creamy ecru meringue before teasing the nose with candied orange and vanilla cream. With a backdrop of tea, botanical herb and fresh spruce, the scent is mouthwatering and saliva inducing. To taste, the early palate is redolent with caky sweetness laced with cereal, pastry and honeysuckle.
As the radiant flavors unfold on the middle palate, the juiciness and racy citrus taste of orange is bold and succulent. Not to be overdone, the hops carry a backdrop of tangerine, mango, lime, dark berry, passionfruit- a perfect complement to the citrus additions. Trending tepidly bitter, the beer turns slightly sharp and balancing with a pleasant pectin bite that's soothed perfectly by the vanilla and lingering cereal creaminess.
Medium bodied, creamy and smooth throughout, the beer's finish is fruiy-sweet with a slightly drying tone. A medium-length finish of fresh squeezed oranges, gin-like botanicals and light hemp lingers pleasantly as a balancing agent as well.

Relatively fresh maybe 1-2 weeks old at this point. Last can in my 4 pack, and this should explain how much I enjoyed this.
Look- Pours turbid dark orange. 2 and a half fingers tight bright white bubbles on the head. The head hangs around for a little bit. The color is quite nice on this exactly what i'm looing for in a pale ale. Quite a bit of light through the body and sides.
Smell- This beer Explodes with a sent of vanilla and orange. The fresh vanilla really shines for me. Even as the beer warms it brings out so many aromas. It really does remind me of Einstein's Favorite. Which is one of my favorite beers EQ has done in the past 12 months.
Taste- The pallet is full of vanilla and orange just as described. The vanilla really shines through out this beer. It brings about the idea of Mmm...Osa with a big hit of vanilla. It is nice and fresh not overly sweet. The Orange really helps balance it out as well. Allowing it to mellow out on the pallet. It is a sweet orange juice case as compared to a zest orange juice taste. More like Tropicana less like fresh squeezed. It tastes just like a melted creamsicle. Absolutely crazy flavor profile.
Feel- Mouth feel is nice nothing to write home about. I was thinking in my head with the vanilla and orange this may be a bit thicker feel, but of course at 4.8% it wasent crazy.
Overall- Maybe up there with one of my favorite pale ales I've had. It is up there for me with the Tree House pales, and Trillium pales. I really enjoyed this, and at 4.8% I could drink these all day long. Not overly sweet and heavy, but packed to the brim with flavor. Just so well done.

16 oz. can.
No canning date, but our store rec'd it 2 days ago.
Moderate pour yields a one inch slightly off white head over a hazy, light golden body with nice lacing. Nose of sweet citrus (orange, tangerine) and tropical fruit (mango.) Taste mirrors nose with a bit of a pastry type flavor due to the addition of a little lactose. Very smooth and finishing with orange zest/peel. Nice feel and overall, I'm enjoying this offering from Orange County, NY.
Cheers!
