Collaboration with Cerebral.

We recently had a zoom session with our buds from Cerebral and thought it would be funny to mesh our logos together and pay homage to one of our favorite Astrophysicists, Neil deGrasse Tyson. The advocate of science and free thought is often heralded as a champion of rationality and we are big fans.
Y’all Need Science uses a big base of oats and wheat and adds a hop bill of Citra, Motueka, and Strata. Upping the dry hop yet again with an exclusive 2020 harvest, Y’all Need Science pours bright yellow with an aroma of assorted citrus and dank grass. The flavor profile is loaded with citrus, peach fruit cup, mango and weed in a crazy drinkable dank finish. Our #EQjuice equation checks out with an A+ here and our thirst for massive flavor through science is indeed satisfied.

No canning date

Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) medium and thick yellow to gold color with a massive white head overfilling the glass. (4.25)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of tropical pineapple, sweet orange and mango. (3.75)

Flavor: Juicy flavors of tropical pineapple juice and sweet mango. Juicy and sweet. (3.75)

Feel: Heavier-bodied, low carbonation. Heavy, sweet, and thick. (3.50)

Compared to EQ Axioms of Probability 2/2023: Pours hazier, larger head. Milder aromas. More sweet juicy mango and pineapple juice. Less ripe peach and rind. Heavier and sweeter.

Overall: A huge, heavy, and sweet one here. Nice tribute to Neil deGrasse Tyson, but the beer does not live up to it. Too heavy, sweet, without much flavor. Sloppy on this one. (Rating: 3.76)

Just another in a seemingly endless procession of NEIPAs. It looks, smells, and tastes exactly as expected for a decent example of the style. Appearance is a cloudy peach yellow with ample white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is a dank and hop fruitiness. Hints of mango, pineapple, and peach. Taste follows the nose, with a bit of earthy grass, melon, flaky oat malts, and hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied and carbonated enough to give me hiccups. Overall it is good; dork-approved even, but nothing particularly new or notable.

A 1 pint can, with no canned on or best before date, but should have been released on 22nd October 2020. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.

Appearance: A hazy orange colour with a two finger white head that had good retention and left nice lacing.

Aroma: Mango, orange, citrus zest, melon, slightly dank.

Taste: Mango creamsicle, peach, orange, lime, citrus pith and rind, grass, with a bitter and dank finish.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Overall: Enjoyable with a good sweet and bitter balance.

Pours a hazy orange with soft, thick head.

Smell is juicy and powerful with notes of orange, mango and some dank melon.

Taste is juicy and soft, with a solid bitterness. Notes of citrus, mango, pineapple and some grass. Well balanced with well hidden booze.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowy and well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice DIPA, maybe a little more shallow than usual for EQ.
