Ohm’s Law is the basic law of electricity. An Ohm (represented in schematics with the greek letter "Ω") defines the unit of resistance between two points in a conductor. The application of 1 volt will push 1 ampere resulting in movement of an electric charge.

For the next installment in our series that explores all things electrical; we used Citra, Belma, and Galaxy with a heavy wheat and oat base. Ohm pours electric yellow with bright notes of papaya, passionfruit, lychee, assorted citrus, peach skins, and lime green Sixlets candy. The finish is bright with a creamy mouthfeel and a beautiful pop of #EQjuice. The 10% ABV is well hidden making it easy to overload your circuits with too many sips. Please enjoy this one on the couch at “Ohm”.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy golden pour, one finger foamy white head. Bready aroma with light citrusy notes. Taste brings on the dank, ripe fruit, little bitterness. Full, creamy feel. Juicy in its own way

A: Pours a murky dark golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate peach + apricot + honey + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering approximately 60% of the surface of then beer surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy tropical/papaya + tropical/passionfruit + citrus/lime + citrus/tangerine + stone fruit/lychee + stone fruit/peach + melon hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + oat + wheat malts with moderate amounts of sugary sweetness.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + oat + wheat malts with moderate amounts of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of uicy tropical/papaya + tropical/passionfruit + citrus/lime + citrus/tangerine + stone fruit/lychee + stone fruit/peach + melon hops which impart a hint of bitterness which lingers slightly leaving moderate lingering tropical hop flavors.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body with a moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly creamy soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a heavy tropical fruit centric hop profile. Slight hop burn but still excellent.

Pours a orange with a murky transparency. Head is two fingers of off-white foam with great retention. Aroma is rich papaya, tangerine, and orange zest with subtle resin, and herbal hops behind. It's sticky, sugary, and full at the start, but drops off sharply, encouraging a sip. Flavor profile is like running down a fruit aisle at the farmer's market, hitting the palate with notes of papaya, tangerine, guava, and orange zest. Subtle resin bring a little hop balance to the profile. Tropical fruits really blossom as the beer warms, though the green hop residual at the finish never dissipates at any serving temperature. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a subtle, stubble at the start. This mellows out to a mild grit at the finish. It has a watery finish when cold. Overall, this IPA develops really well as it warms, hitting a spectrum of hop notes along the way.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can. Reviewed from notes.

A - Overly hazy medium orange gold color that's borderline opaque. Foam and lacing is dense, creamy, and cements to the sides of the glass.

S - Hands down...smells like raw hop pellets with that signature chalky nuance. After that, peach, papaya, some fruit rind, and some sweet candy citrus in the background.

T - Peach, papaya, green citrus, passion fruit, some citrus rind and mild peppery rind.

M - Pillowy soft, chewy, and dry on the back of the tongue while the rest of the mouth is wet. No warming in the back of the throat and no alcohol effervescence at all.

O - This beer hides the ABV incredibly well and solid. Worth the price tag?

A: The beer is very hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that died down, leaving a thin collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of lime, melon and peach are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the the smell and has stronger flavors of lime and additional notes of passion fruit.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is packed with lots of aromas and flavors of hops and also does a good job at hiding most of the alcohol from the taste.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a good-sized, head of bubbly white foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, guava, pineapple and resin. Sweet tropical fruit taste with sharp piney, bitterness and toasted caramel.
