Hop Wave 15 takes dHop 15 and adds a bunch of flaked oats and gives it our wave treatment. We start with a Citra whirlpool paired with an Enigma and Citra dry hop before adding a touch off lactose to introduce an extra creamy finish.
Pouring hazy yellow, aromas of fruit sorbet, ripe melon and tropical citrus scents permeate before leading into flavors of island papaya smoothie, chardonnay grape granita, THC infused lime gummies, and slow churned orange creamsicles that lead into a luscious body and a bold #EQjuice finish.

Served in a tulip
Hazy, canary yellow appearance. The body was topped by a inch-tall, fluffy, bright white crown that dropped to a thick, frothy collar. A wall of streaky, drippy lacing cascaded down the sides of the glass.
The aroma was insanely punchy and complex. Honeydew melon came through big time. Chardonnay wine was also quite apparent. A gaseous, tropical fruit quality reminiscent of durian was also noticeable. There was a dank and skunky, cannabis-like presence well. Touch of lemon peel. The Chardonnay and the durian notes intensified as the beer warmed.
The flavor profile was very similar to the nose and just as amazing. Super crisp and bright up front. Big lemon presence. Chardonnay notes appeared next and really came forth later. Loads of dank weediness as well. Herbal notes were also apparent. More lemon in the center. The lemon turned more pithy and bitter as the beer moved along the palate. A bit of grapefruit peel came through on the finish.
Nice fluffy, lighter bodied mouthfeel. Crisp and sprightly on the palate. The liquid contained a larger bubbled, fairly aggressive effervescence that fluffed up nicely.
Just when I think I am getting tired of drinking hoppy beers, an IPA will come along that really blows me away. Hop Wave 15 was definitely one such beer. With its incredibly musty, wine-y, dank and juicy aroma and flavor profile, this not only spoke to my palate but also stood apart from other beers of this style.
