Collaboration with District 96 Beer Factory
Batch 6 of this collaboration uses our hand selected Citra/Galaxy blend for the first time with new revised label. It pours a hazy tangerine orange and releases aromas of passion fruit, drippy peach flesh, green gummy snakes, and pineapple syrup integrated with a juicy twist. The taste is luscious juice that is bright and creamy like a tropical sorbet. This batch is dangerously drinkable with a bold #EQjuice finish.

Pours a hazy light orange with thick, soapy head.
Smell is juicy and sweet with notes of gummy candy, mango, orange sorbet and peach.
Taste is juicy and a bit sweet. Notes of mango, peach, grass and a hint of booze. Soft bitterness with a slightly mineral finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice DIPA, spoiled slightly by the mineral hint.

Served in a tulip
Cloudy, bright golden yellow appearance. The nearly opaque body was topped by an inch-tall, tight and creamy, bright white crown that dropped to a thick, lasting collar. Small streaks and dots of lacing stuck all along the glass.
The aroma was super fruity and bright. Peach notes were most apparent initially. Good dose of mango too. Other tropical fruits were noticeable as well. Passionfruit and/or papaya perhaps. Touch of citrus. Slightly tangy. As the beer warmed, the mango really intensified. Nice amount of sweetness. A mango smoothie came to mind.
The flavor profile was a total peach bomb. Ripe, juicy, freshly picked peaches. Mango was noticeable as well. Some passionfruit too. Lemon notes were detectable in the center. Grapefruit appeared as the beer moved along the palate. Bit of pithy grapefruit rind on the finish. Next to zero bitterness however.
The mouthfeel was fantastic. Super soft and fluffy. The liquid contained a fine, fairly zippy effervescence that turned ultra creamy and smooth on the palate.
Sexual Fluctuation is one of Equilibrium’s highest rated IPAs, and it now makes sense to me as to why. Both the flavor and aroma were amazingly fruity and bright, and the mouthfeel ultra creamy, smooth and light on the palate. This definitely ranks up there with some of the better hoppy beers I have tried in the past year.
