The first lager of the Project Elevate Series was named after a cloud formation observed over the brewery that reminded us of a triple slow pour from a Pilsner. Tower Cloud was brewed in September exclusively with the New Zealand hop Pacifica and lagered for an extensive amount of time before its release. Tower Cloud pours a bright and sparkling pale yellow. It is light bodied, sunny, zippy, and crisp. Flavors of mowing the lawn while eating saltless saltine crackers in a floral meadows lead into a collected finish and a pop of crispness. This is pils is crushable and our finest lager to date. It was a labor of love, we are proud of it, and predicts more good things to come for the lager part of our portfolio.

This one pours a slightly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells sweet and grainy, almost corn-like, with nothing in the way of hop character.
This isn’t exactly a brewery that I would expect to nail this style, and my suspicions were confirmed here, unfortunately. This is just sweet, flabby, and not crisp at all, with no discernible hop character. The taste is essentially bread soaked in sugar water, with corn.
This is light bodied, but not super drinkable.
This one is completely skippable.

Out of like 12 different beers ordered, I think this was the only non pale/ipa/dipa out of the entire order, and it was the most unique/best possibly of the bunch.
Pours a mild cloudy but lightly bright yellow. Makes 1/2" white head. Good retention. The aroma is provided for hop wise by a New Zealand Pacifica hop. Smells like down under Saaz to me. Like Saaz with a hint of dankiness. The lager yeast is just as, if not more present, and its got that nice dry non smelly sulphury aspect going for it.
The taste is well done. The commercial tug job referencing mowing the grass is on point. Its got a breadiness that is defied by the beer's relative drinkability and levity. Dallop of grapefruit rind. Bitterness is slightly above average and preferred that way, it works here. Perhaps lemongrass was a better descriptor than mowed grass. Its got zippiness but doesn't seem to have a higher associated carbonation level. I'd say I'm impressed with this beer.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale yellow + brassy colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of bready + biscuit + cracker malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. Light aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith + spicy + citrus/orange zest hops. Light aromas of lager yeast.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of bready + biscuit + cracker malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are light flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith + spicy + citrus/orange zest hops which impart a slightly heavier than light amount of bitterness which fades away leaving a relatively clean finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a light amount of dryness and a relatively clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and refreshingly crisp + clean mouthfeel. Enjoyable and does a nice job of highlighting the Pacifica hop in a well constructed lager. Could easily have a few of these.

Pours A clear golden yellow color with a thin white head. Smell has lemon biscuit bread and light cracker malts. Taste is subdued for a pils not crisp or hoppy. Mouth ‘feel not crisp with hops its okay but a poor representation of the style.
