Collaboration with Perennial Artisan Ales.
Imperial stout with Sump Noir Colombia dark roast coffee, Madagascar vanilla beans and caramel.
Sumpnilla Swirl pours pitch black with a deep tinted brown head. Notes of Hershey’s syrup, freshly brewed pour over coffee, sweet vanilla, and cinnamon pie spice lead into deep flavors of intense milk chocolate with complex coffee notes of dark fruit, cherry pits, and a big caramel filled milk chocolate Cadbury Caremello finish. Thanks to the use of the Belgian Candi Sugars in the base and the addition of caramel, the mouthfeel is smooth and luxurious and mimics your favorite caramel latte but in beer form. We are thrilled with how this beer turned out and recommend you enjoy it at around 55-60 degrees to take advantage of each of its characteristic and the complexity each element has to offer.

Bottle to snifter. UEFA Champions League Final.
LOOK: dark black, smallbeige head, OK retention. oily looking sheen when head is faded.
AROMA: caramel and vanilla are strongest, little touch of roasted malt and/or coffee add in some depth.
TASTE: caramel is sweet and very apparent, vanilla gives it a root beer like flavor. Coffee adds a bitterness in finish. a touch of leafy hoppy flavor mingles in and out. Overally, a little overly sweet.
FEEL: smooth, full body, light carbonation, a little chewy.
Tasty for sure. Coffee does not shine enough considering it is Sump coffee, but still very enjoyable.
Go Blues!
