BA Dual Singularity was aged for 15 months in Vanilla Bourbon Barrels and conditioned on Fiji & Bolivia cacao nibs, Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla, and our local DeFilippi’s Black & White cookies.
Barrel Aged Dual Singularity pours pitch black with a caramel head with aromas of bakers chocolate, vanilla custard, and under-baked gooey sugar cookies. These aromas lead into flavors of Devil’s food cake, vanilla bean pudding, cookie dough, and torched cream brûlée morphing into a velvety mouthfeel that is accompanied by a touch of bourbon soul fire and a caramel vanilla finish from the charred barrel presence.
Please enjoy at 55º or above to take advantage of the complex flavors!

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells a little bit astringent, with some dark chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of barrel.
This really sounded quite good on paper, but it feel short. There's kind of a flat and astringent aftertaste here - the barrel just doesn't seem super well-integrated with the beer. I don't really get the taste of the featured cookies here.
This is thick and creamy, with no booziness to it. It's a slow sipper, still.
This somewhat missed the mark for me - it just felt muddled, and nothing really stood out.
