Canned 02/01, 18 days old. Two of my favorite hops combine for another banger from Equilibrium.
Hazy pour with a fairly quick-disappearing white cap left a ring and skim of foam, looking inviting.
Aromas of pine and citrus dominate the nose pleasantly.
Tastes are similar, with a great balance of juicy and mild bitterness, very little alcohol noticed.
Mouthfeel is great - a nice balance of the mouth-watering juiciness and a somewhat dry, very clean finish.
Overall it's very well-crafted and I'll be seeking out more from this brewery going forward.

2-month-old can poured into a Teku.
Quintessential hazy look, with a wonderful orange-gold glow, deep haze, but no murk. Outstanding, creamy head of minute, compressed bubbles. Totally scoopable, and the head reforms beautifully with a few swirls of the glass. Fantastic rings of soapy lacing. Absolutely gorgeous beer.
Dank greens, a touch of onion, bright citrus, and tangy tropical fruits up front. Really nice first impression on the nose, but it tails off pretty fast. Grassy and grainy, with notes of lemon/lime, mango, passionfruit, naval orange, and ruby red grapefruit. Nice balance of juicy and dank.
Flavor profile is very good but doesn't keep up. More grassy and a little green on the tongue. Tropical and citrus fruits now a bit overripe, and stone fruits now poking through, though the sweetness is overmatched by pithy bitterness. Quite a dry finish, with a touch of pine.
As the look would suggest, the feel is uber-soft and silky, with the strong carbonation providing a wonderful creaminess.
Pretty impressive look and feel for a 6.8% beer. If the taste profile was a little stronger and more noteworthy (or more nuanced), this one would be world class. As is, it's still very, very good.

From a 16oz can dated Jul 30, 2021. From the EQ Instagram post: “Fractal Strata/Citra Investigates the interplay between Strata, one of our new favorite hops, our hand selected Citra, our evolving hopping processes, and simple pale malt base. Fractal Strata/Citra pours a bright and hazy yellow releasing complex aromas and flavors of both tropical and dank passionfruit, rainbow melon, mango, lime Pez and whiff of sticky green. A resinous creamy mouthfeel and a firm but rounded bitterness finishes with our signature #EQjuice finish.” Delicious!
