We grew up eating Toasted Almond bars from that music-playing-magical truck that used to visit the neighborhood. Almond Pop starts with a viscous base you have come to love from EQ Stouts before an adding an absolutely massive amounts of slivered almonds, which were toasted in house at Equilibrium Bonfire. To round out the flavors, we then added Marshmallows, Madagascar Vanilla, Cake Mix, and lactose.

Almond Pop pours a viscous pitch black with a tan head releasing notes of wonderful childhood memory. Toasted almond ice-cream pop and candy birthday cake flavor coats the tongue with the perfect balance of nutty, meets sweet, meets creamy, meets decadence. Like drinking a liquid Toasted Almond bar, the finish is velvety and luxurious.

Pours very thick with a sliver of mocha colored head. Slightly below average head retention & lacing, viscous as all get out

S: Faint chocolate notes, cola notes, fairly muted

T: Dark chocolate, marshmallow, vanilla & hint of cola mixing in with lactose sweetness/dryness up front, some woody hops as well. Chocolate, &marshmallow pick up the [ace as this beer warms up, some woody dryness, just a touch of vanilla . Finishes dry, sweet & with dome vanilla & oaky notes

MF: Thick, low carbonation, very rich & decadent

Very rich and flavorful, but the nose, not so much. A sipper to be sure

Decadent aroma of hot fudge, a distinct peanut butter and jelly taste that follows through to the body. The body, most of all, comes off as fudge with peanutbutter and a fruity jelly aftertaste. Quite like an almond-flavored ice cream pop. A great dessert stout

Excellent head production and retention.

Nose is fairly mild, with notes of prune and cola, but none of the additives.

Similar on the palate. There's a bit of powdered cocoa, and certainly notes of prune and raisin, but this is completely lacking in the sweetness and richness I expected. On a similar vein, it's much thinner than I expected.

Something had to go wrong here. It's not at all what was advertised.

Bottle from Paul, thanks for the opportunity!
Inky black with a decent sized tan head that persists.
Rich roasty chocolate with bits of vanilla and hints of marshmallow. Decent stout but the nuts and cake are a lie.
