Double Fractal is a new series that brings you all the goodness of our Fractal and Super Fractal series but in DIPA format. Double Fractal Dragon Curve combines our fractal fermentation, simple 2-row base malt bill, and combines Enigma and Citra. We get notes of earthy dankness, white wine grapes, papaya, orange creamsicle and tropical fruit with and a very pronounced escalating brightness from the #EQjuice.

Pours a golden straw color with two fingers of head. The nose has some citrus notes but it also has some earthiness. The predominant flavor note is pithy citrus with a little pine on the finish.

16oz can poured into a pint glass.
Tangerine, candied honeydew (?), mandarine oranges galore. Thinner m/f than I was expecting (and hoping for), and my particular beer felt just a hair under-carbonated. Taste was sweet and juicy, nose about the same.
I drank the yeast, and hopefully you did too.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange-yellow color with a small head of puffy off-white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading slowly over time and leaving a good sum of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – Th aroma is heavy of a doughy smell mixed with a large deal of citrus sweetness of tangerine and orange. Along with the sweet citrus, so too comes some bitter grapefruit and sour lemon citrus, along with notes of fruits like pear, grape and passionfruit. Rounding it all out are some smells of yeast, pepper, and a bit of bread, producing a rather malty but inviting aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready malt flavor paired with some doughy flavors. A bit of caramel sweetness with a rather sizable fruit sweetness of pineapple, tangerine, papaya, and passionfruit are upfront as well, being joined by some pear and apricot toward the end. Other flavors of a yeasty nature and a bit of pepper and lemongrass develop as well throughout. All through the taste there is a decent showing of a herbal and earthy hop with just a touch of grapefruit hop, combining with all the other flavors to leave one with a rather malty and decently hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is rather thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. The feel matches the mix of malt, fruit, and hop flavors rather well, making for a nice slow sipper.
Overall – A rather nice double overall. A bit more malty, but very drinkable and rather flavorful.
