Our latest iteration in our dHop series explores a double dose of our Energy Treatment for the first time along with the dHop 34 dry hop technique. dHop 36 uses flaked oats and flaked wheat, an Idaho7 and Mosaic whirlpool and a huge dry hop of 100% Citra. dHop 36 pours an electric yellow, releasing bright tropical notes of rainbow melon, vibrant tangerine citrus, and peach flesh with a huge #EQjuice finish and soft mouthfeel.

Picked this up recently at ShopRite Liquors in Little Falls, as I haven't had any iterations of this series from Equilibrium previous to this. After taking a few sips, I realize what a mistake I made as this was a quality beer that was immensely smooth and enjoyable as this felt like a total juice bomb with plenty of body to it as well!
The goldenrod hue to this was plenty milky and nicely radiant as quite a bit of light seeped in around the edges. A moderately thick head topped it off although the lacing left behind wasn't as extensive as there was only one thick ring just above the middle of my pint glass, with a few scattered spots below that. Lots of wheat and oats in the nose along with peach, turbid citrus, and tangy stone fruit in the nose as the deep melon, Hawaiian Punch, and slick, dank hops came through on the palate as this was softly slick and oh-so-easy to quaff! A nice, balanced body, lively carbonation, and feeling of gooseberry juice complemented each other well as this did not stay in my glass for very long!
I'm not sure what the difference is between a rainbow melon and a regular melon is but the fruits featured in this beer were quite appealing and begged for another can. The trippy label was a bonus as it was dated Sep 16 on the side. This was such a winner and the icing on the cake was it's lack of overt heft, which allowed the flavors to dominate front and center while never letting go. This might not taste like a typical Imperial IPA but it felt the part on the senses. Grab a can if you come across this!
