Window of Opportunity pours a thiccc midnight black with a creamy mocha head. Aromas of Nutella and Fluff lead into big flavors of Hershey syrup, coconut snowballs, vanilla caramel macchiato, and graham crackers. This beer is the liquid version of Mallomar dipped in sweet coconut flakes with a silky decadent finish.

Look - Pours a dark black color with no head. A thin dark lacing when swirled.
Smell - Graham cracker, marshmallow, and cocoa. A bit smore-like.
Taste - Follows the nose - graham cracker, marshmallow, and cocoa. Not sweet, but not bitter either.
Feel - Nicely creamy, feels nice.
Overall - A very nice stout.

Location: Middletown, NY
Style: Pastry Stout
ABV: 11%
Canned: Unknown

Going back to my cellar, I opted for a Pastry Stout. I am using a tulip glass and serving the beer at 50 degrees. The pour created a creamy, one-fingered, light tan head with poor retention. The quick dissipation left no lacing on the glass. The color is inky black, with ruby hues, charting at SRM 36, and opaque. This beer's appearance is below average.
Nosing the glass, I smell molasses, marshmallows, dark roasted malts, toasted brown bread, vanilla, oak, bourbon, leather, raisins, dates, toffee, caramel, dark chocolate, espresso, and earthiness. Smelling the glass again, I noticed toffee, floral, graham cracker, coconut, and earthy.
Sipping the beer, I taste toasted bread, toffee, anise, coconut, raisins, marshmallows, toffee, caramel, dark chocolate, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, flower bouquet, grassy, oak, bourbon, molasses, char, dark roasted malts, espresso, and earthiness.
The mouthfeel is smooth and chewy, with a velvet finish. The body is heavy and low in carbonation.
I don't know where I got this beer, but I'm glad to try another from Equilibrium. The adjuncts and barrel aging seem too much for me to process. The beer is cloyingly sweet and challenging to drink except for sips. However, with all the flavors, it is surprisingly balanced. It tastes like a coconut S'more, not bad, but not my cup of tea.
