What’s Past Is Present stands for the idea that history sets the context for the present. We gave one of out first collabs brewed in Meadville a new spin with our Incognito process we’ve been using for our latest collabs.
With a fluffy oat and wheat base, we used Citra Incognito, and our hand selected Citra and Nelson T90’s for the whirlpool with an incredibly big dry-hop of Nelson and Victorian Galaxy. Pouring vivid yellow, aromas of groove stand OJ and limeade morph into flavors of overripe papaya, pineapple and gooseberry, leading into Pinot Gris grapes and a touch fresh cut grass with a pointed and saturated hop bitterness. The beer is thick and pulpy with a beautiful rainbow melon EQ Juice finish.

Soft, pastel yellow/orange color, opaque; thick head, white with a semi-creamy texture on top. Cereal grain nose; oats and wheat; dull citrus notes; orange; newly mowed grass. Balanced, smooth taste; biscuit and hop bitterness with citrus pith; noticeable alcohol presence. Heavy body; smooth and velvety; a touch of acidic and alcohol abrasiveness and dryness.
Overall, this is a decent, approachable double India pale ale ala hazy style. The smell and taste are fine if rather blasé while the look and feel are great. For a relatively high ABV DIPA, this drinks pretty easily yet seems a bit weak and pedestrian in execution. With an unknown packaging date, it may be past its prime.

Pours a very hazed honey color with a thumb+ of eggshell colored head.
S: Green melons, guava, some grassy & catty notes once warm. Nice head retention & better lacing
T: Follows the nose, powdery dryness, tastes a little like Tang up front. Tangerine & pink grapefruit once warmed up, plus too much powdery dryness. Finishes dry with lime, tang flavors & a little grapefruit
MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, pretty good balance
Just too dry for me to really to enjoy, ABV is well hidden

Hopy "bitterness" was not as present as I would have liked, almost smooth. Color was reminiscent of a hazy brownish green protein shake haha. Not my favourite for what it was supposed to be 8.5% abv DIPA. 3.8/5.
