Named after the Triflake fractal set pictured on the label, Double Fractal Triflake combines a simple 2-row base malt bill with a mix of Citra, Nelson, and Galaxy for the hop bill.
Tropical aromas are complemented by flavors of passionfruit, papaya cubes, white peach in pineapple syrup, tropical grass, and a touch of green grape. Flavors coalesce, into a soft and creamy mouthfeel with our EQjuice finish.

Pours a bright, opaque orange with a thick cap of foam. The nose is subtle with hints of tropical fruit. The flavor is similar with notes of tropical fruits, some sweetness, and faint bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is soft and well carbonated. This is another really nice, drinkable beer from Equilibrium.

From a 16oz can… undated? There’s a ‘2 11 09’ stamp on the can, but I don’t know what that signifies. [Edit to add: IG shows 12/08/22 release dated]. Anyway. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a hazy dull orange-gold with two-plus fingers of dense, lather-like head. Retention is epic, leaving a heavy cap and a tattered blanket of sudsy lacing.
Nose is yeasty and dense with fruity hops. Aromas of pineapple, berry and pine.
Taste is warm, dank and cake-like. First impression is pineapple-vanilla birthday cake and bhang water. Further in it’s vinous, acidic and grassy. Tasting sour grape, peach, passionfruit and spruce.
Feel is chalky, medium bodied with bright, prickly carbonation. Feeling more boozy warmth in the gullet than the stated 8.5% abv would seem to warrant.
Overall, a bit of a caricature of an NEIPA, for both better and worse. This is a prime example of the kind of raw, harsh, muddled and boozy mess that NEIPA haters do like to hate on. But if you need to mainline your hops, this might be right up your alley.
