We are happy to introduce Cosmic Proportions, a collaboration with Modist Brewing. Cosmic Proportions is our first beer with Omega Yeast's Cosmic Punch yeast, a thiolized strain that features vibrant grapefruit, passion fruit, and guava notes through biotransformation.
Cosmic Proportions uses Nelson and Citra in the whirlpool, with a Nelson, Citra, and HBC 586 combination in the dry hop. A hazy yellow pour opens up with aromas of freeze-squeezed OJ, tropical fruit skittles, and lime wedges. Flavors of guava, passionfruit, assorted citrus, mango, green grape, and lime come together in a super pillowy texture with a pop of EQ juice and a balanced finish.

Served in a nonic pint glass
A timid pour yields a glass of off-white foam with about an inch of straw colored beer underneath. As the mountain of head recedes it leaves rocky lacing. After I can pour some more beer into my glass, I get a pale yellow beer that is turbid. It is topped with a couple inches of creamy eggshell head.
Tropical fruit notes with hints of melon. Some grapefruit in the finish.
More citrus flavor with a focus on grapefruit

Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (10% clarity) medium to pale golden color with a strong white head that lingers. SRM of 7. (4.25)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of orange, pineapple, passionfruit, green guava, melon, and apple. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange, passionfruit, sweet pineapple. Sweet melon, berries and green apple and mango underneath. (4.00)
Feel: Heavier-bodied, average carbonation. Leans heavy and sweet. (4.25)
Compared to Drekker Lizard People 4/2023: Pours similar, similar head. Stronger aromas. More sweet green apple and mango. Less citrus, lime, green guava. Heavier and sweeter.
Compared to BlackStack Purely Decorative 4/2023: Pours darker, larger head. Similar aromas. More creamy orange creamsicle, grape, green apple. Less juicy orange and pineapple. Similar sweetness, but more creamy and smooth malts here.
Compared to EQ Southern Lights 4/2023: Pours identical, milder head. More sweet orange, green grape, apple, melon. Less mango flesh. Slightly sweeter.
Compared to EQ Emc2 4/2023: Pours identical. More sweet papaya, green grape and apple, and melon. Less lemon and pineapple zest with dry mango flesh. Sweeter and juicier.
Compared to EQ Ocean Vibes 6/2023: Pours lighter, milder head. Stronger but similar aromas. More lime, citrus, pineapple, vinous notes. Less guava, peach, mango. Juicier and sweeter.
Overall: Excellent NEIPA from EQ here. Orange, sweet pineapple, with some melon, berries, green apple and mango sweetness underneath. Definitely sweet with a complex flavor profile but there is sure some sweet green apple, grape, and mango flavor. Heavier and drinks sweet, yet still creamy and back it up with lots of flavor here. This is a hazy double IPA that is smooth and nicely balanced. Its expensive but worth a try.
