Cinnamon sugar with a warm, soft, and doughy center, make Churros the perfect inspiration for our newest dessert-inspired stout. Churro Puffs take our base imperial stout recipe and add toasted almond, marshmallow, and a light addition of cinnamon. Pitch black with a frothy cap, we get aromas of early mornings at the bake shop, chocolate-covered almond bars, and a touch of sweet cinnamon. A rich and velvety brownie batter-like foundation is laced with flavors of toasted almond, marshmallow-stuffed cinnamon donut holes, and sugar cookie dough. The balanced addition of cinnamon complements the flavors, gently checking all the boxes for liquid culinary bliss.

Poured essentially a black body with decent head and minimal lace. Aroma struck me as chocolate syrup (artificial) with hint of nuttiness. Medium to heavy body, has a woody smoothness and boozy, dry, nutty chocolate sweetness along with some spiciness and a thick, heavy finish.

Look - Pours a dark black color with a small dark brown head that disappears in just a few seconds. Decent lacing when swirled.
Smell - I'm not getting much in the nose. Mainly malt and a very light cinnamon.
Taste - Taste is better than the smell, with cinnamon, marshmallows, and light almonds.
Feel - Has a nice creamy feel. Though the cinnamon and marshmallows are good, I find them rather mild.
Overall - To me this beer has great potential, but the churro flavor wasn't strong enough.

Churros seem to be taking over the about world and I am a fan. Equilibrium brings their version in with a blanket of marshmallow. The result is a true marshmallow stout, fluffy as they come. Not as cinnamon forward as I would expect for a churro iteration. Very rich, consistent with EQ's approach to this dessert style.
