was everyone's favorite pick for our first project together with New Jersey’s @theseedbeer.
Seeds are often used as symbols of hope and resilience. From the moment the seed enters the ground until harvest, meeting a plant's needs in a steady state is an important factor for survival and vitality. These factors help it reach the 'equilibrium' growth stage where it can follow a healthy and productive “balanced growth” trajectory, constantly growing with the odds in its favor against any difficulty that may pop into its path.
Balanced Growth (IPA) starts off with a flaked wheat and torrefied wheat malt bill, an Idaho 7 whirlpool, and a HBC586 and Motueka dry hop. Flavors of Alphonso mango salad, assorted citrus, and lemon lime spritz

Can is dated sometime in October of 2023 (can't make it out entirely); consumed on 11-22-23.

A: Poured into a Tree House tulip; body is orangey-golden with a half-finger of white head that settles fast.

S: Nice nose of tropical fruit and citrus, with a touch of sweeter stuff coming through (think ripe melon or even brown sugar).

T: Lots of tropical fruit - pineapple, limes, plus white grape skins and some citrus (think grapefruit or grapefruit peel/pith). Somewhat unique taste profile.

M: A bit thin; doesn't feel like a hazy, NEIPA at all. Call it lighter-side of medium in heft/weight.

O: Solid. Drinks pretty light/easy.

Canned 10/17/23 (3 weeks ago)

Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (20% clarity), light orange color with a massive white head. SRM of 7. (4.25)

Aroma: Stronger arms of grapefruit citrus, guava, passionfruit with a lemon spritz. Some hints of orange and pineapple underneath. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of orange and grapefruit citrus, guava, and passionfruit, some tropical orange, and pineapple underneath. A slightly floral note on the finish. Dry and clean. (4.00)

Feel: Medium body, strong, carbonation, and a full mouth feel. Smooth, yet clean and dry. (4.00)

Compared to EQ Fluctuation 11/2023: Pours lighter, similar head. Milder aromas. More grapefruit, gauva, lemon, passionfruit. Less sweet mango and pineapple. Winner: Fluctuation

Overall: Balanced Growth which is a lighter IPA but fresh. Nice lemon, guava, passionfruit flaovrs. Clean, dry, and drinkable. Very good and enjoyable, but no match against some of their greatness (Rating: 3.97)
