Following 26 months in a singular Taconic barrel, we added Roasted Hazelnuts, Marshmallow, Mostra Philippine Leizel Silvano Coffee, Graham Cracker, Honey, Cacao Nibs, and Vanuatu Vanilla. A pitch-black pour lends way to aromas of dark chocolate brownie batter, caramel nougat, and cookie dough. Flavors of milk chocolate, Nutella brownies, condensed milk, cookie dough chunks, marshmallow frosting, and roasty coffee come together in a luscious caramel honey finish. Fans of well balanced barrel aged stouts are going to love this one, as it strikes the perfect equilibrium of sweet meets nutty meets boozy meets roasty.

On tap at the Equilibrium Brewery Bonfire Taproom in Middletown, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like honey, bittersweet maple, milk chocolate, cookie dough, vanilla frosting, marshmallow, and caramel.
This is most assuredly sludgy and pastry-heavy. The description seems to promise some roast and some balance – that’s not really there for me, as it’s an adjunct overload. It’s undoubtedly a tasty adjunct overload, but, balanced, this is not. I don’t get a lot of coffee or barrel – but I do get a lot of honey, chocolate, and marshmallow, with a sweet silky vanilla heavy finish.
This is thick, silky, and velvety, with no real booziness despite the highly advanced ABV here.
This is pretty absurd but it definitely was tasty.
