Pours black with virtually no head. Very roasty nose--deep, lovely aroma. A little thinner in body than I was expecting. First sip has wonderful evolving flavor--roast, coffee, chocolate with vanilla rising up to sweeten the finish. Subsequent sips proved less complex with roast and vanilla surfacing together and remaining on your palate through the finish. Despite the overall lack of complexity, the flavor is pleasant and just robust enough to remind you this is indeed an American-style porter.

Möbius- Congo Vanilla pours a just about black color, with no head. The aroma has big notes of fresh, real vanilla. The flavor has a smooth, mellow natural vanilla, a hint of sweetness, and a mild chocolate malt backbone. Good feel. Overall, a flavorful, well-balanced, not overpowering porter.
