Farmhouse aromas and flavors of wheat, hay, play off the clove and citrus. Single source Indian honey provide mouthfeel and light residual honey notes.
WTF Name: It's kinda redundant.

Bought from Beermiscuous. My 13th from Lo Rez. This offering is below my average appreciation for them... which is quite high. This is an enjoyable table ale, particularly for summer.
Biere De Miel Looks above average; a nice foam recedes, leaving a dirty blonde body. (Given Lo Rez' tendency to wierd-out on labels, this ones uplifting art bumps Looks to 3.75.) Smells are average and undistinguished. Tastes improve mostly because the spicing tries to be multi-dimensional, but in the finish mostly its the hops. While their bitterness lingers long, I set aside this Biere and ate my world-famous ratatouille. This Biere, however, went better with a bitter salad. I do get a softness in the mouth, probably from a healthy portion of wheat.
I like Lo Rez lots. They have brewed other ales better, often because they use true Belgian-inspired yeasts and the ale is more alive. Less is true in this Biere.
2/25/23 In a re-release of 20 months ago, I found a 4-pack at The Beer Temple and am glad I bought it. This is an improved table ale and I improved my rating considerably. The hops no longer interfere with the food; tonight's menu being my world famous soup. Lo Rez is learning the Belgian tradition fast.

honey orange with thin white head. Nose is faint with some grass. Taste is faint also with some Belgian yeast up front, followed by a stale malt, and ends with some bitter grass. Body is light to medium with light to medium carbonation. Ends with a lingering bitter bite. Overall maybe a ghost of what i would expect a saison to be. Nothing insulting but nothing exceptional.

16 ounce can into a tulip glass. Canned 3/6/21, had 6/8/21.
Pours a golden color, cloudy, with a two inch head of spongy foam and a fair amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of Belgian yeast, cloves, wheat, malt, honey, other spices, a little funk, a hint of citrus. Flavors of honey, citrus hops, cloves, lighter malt, other spices, some Belgian yeast. Has a fair amount of hop bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a thinner medium body, carbonated a little on the low side.
Has a nice aroma and the honey really shines in the flavor, but it’s very hoppy for what it is. Which is fine, but seems like it could be a little heftier to give it some balance and reduce the thinness. Pretty good overall, and worth a try.
