Can from JCWattsrugger, thanks for the trade!
Lightly hazy medium gold in color with a thin off white head that slowly recedes.
Earthy grassy tropical and citrus with faint bready malt to counter.

Delicious beer. Pours hazy and thick. This beer is not filtered. I have a habit of drinking tasty beers quick, not this one. Even as it got a bit warm still tasted great. The color was a hazy yellow.

Bit of a bitter after taste. Pairs well with pizza

Nice beer and I would drink it again

Picked this up last week at Gary's in Wayne, along with a lot of other single cans that I never had before. My cousin's girlfriend works at Wet Ticket so I wanted to give this a go and though that Mosaic would be a safe bet for a single-hop beer. No, this wasn't a drain pour but it wasn't a New England IPA both in look and taste as this felt more English or West Coast in nature...

This beer poured a golden peach with some dark sediment floating in it as that settled down at the bottom of my pint glass. The head that topped this off was moderate, but soft and fairly long-lasting with one thin and well-defined ring of lacing left near the top. Some suds were below that as that turned out to be this beer's best attribute. Lots of stone fruit and acrid grapefruit in the nose as the taste was full of both - which is not something that I'd usually use to describe a beer with Mosaic in it. Grass, pine, and a malty sweetness round this out as this felt a bit waxy in the aftertaste with a moderate carbonation that kept this from feeling too heavy or piercing.

Not a lot of booze in this but the flavors inherent made it feel stronger than it was in actuality. The aftertaste reminded me of something from Stone, Lagunitas, or Green Flash and not something from this neck of the woods, which was a bit odd. No date on the bottom of the can but aside from the bit of sediment that settled down, this felt pretty fresh. While not a bad beer, this was categorized incorrectly and would be better with some tweaking and rebranding. Fine for kicking back with if you're not concerned with what's written on the can.

Not very New England for this IPA. Pours slightly hazy yellow with no head to speak of. Aroma is citrus and floral. Taste is more west coast IPA with hop bitterness and a bit of grapefruit. Overall it's okay but there are better options.

This is a rather odd beer and a hard one to review - especially if I try to review it to style. It's supposed to be a New England IPA. I had it on draught at the brewery and when the glass was served I asked whether it was a mistake: It is a crystal clear golden-amber and there was only a small head but it was as bright a white as I've encountered. I thought the smell of the stone fruit was subdued and it was equally malty. The taste was malt-forward with notes of berry, lemon, and grapefruit. The Mosaic hops add their unique taste but with only moderate bitterness. It's medium-bodied with moderate carbonation, and the 6.8% ABV gives it decent heft without distracting. Overall, the taste and feel are decent but if I did not read the description I'd call this an English-style IPA. It doesn't look like the New England variety and lacks the fruitiness I'd expect.

This beer looks almost exactly like the West Coast IPA earlier. Bright, translucent, golden amber color (perhaps a hair lighter in color) with a frothy, bone white head. Less visible carbonation. Same level of lace streaking across the glass. Also a very attractive looking beer.

Right off the bat I get the Mosaic. I’m talking fruit/tropical fruit and not the green, oniony side of Mosaic (which I love BTW). The aroma of this beer is stone fruit and candy. Peach gummy ring and ripe mango. I’m not getting a a prominent bready malt aroma like I did on the West Coast IPA, but I think that’s because it melds more with the fruity hop aromas not present in the other beer. The malt and fruity hops are presenting themselves in unison, whereas the grassy, piney and herbal aroma of the West Coast IPA yielded to the bready malt profile. Again, it does not burst from the glass, but it’s nice.

The flavor of this beer is OK. It’s got a generically sweet malt profile and falls a bit heavy and syrupy on the palate for my preferences. Fruit wise it is very ripe and sweet. Mango and peach, but rather muted.

This beer is less carbonated than the last and falls a bit heavier on the palate for me.

Overall, I’m not a huge fan of this beer. There’s nothing wrong with it, but it just falls a bit flat for me, and while it is does have some fruity Mosaic aspects it is not what I’m looking for in a NEIPA. I went with this one for the Mosaic over a Galaxy pale ale, and I’m left wondering about the beer that I passed up

On tap in a nonic pint glass. My first go with this brewery.

The pour yielded a very pale and light yellow colored cloud of liquid with a tall white cap. The head tapers slowly and leaves wide rings of sticky lace.

Mostly citrus and pine hop aromas. Grapefruit, lemon, and soft tropical notes.

Flavors follow with a nice touch of lightly sweetened malt. I get more citrus than other fruit flavors.

Medium body and nicely carbonated for easy drinking. A touch of front sweetness, mildly, bitter, dry and clean finish.

The juice quotient of the style is lacking; and that works for me.
