I am so flummoxed by what a great saison this is, that I probably shouldn't review it in depth after only one can... as I won't be objective enough. But I have to rate it, so for now this is all you get.
A lot of my effusiveness has to do with two items peculiar mostly to me. First, I like big foams that are not rocky and Claremont is big and not rocky. Second, Claremont paired well with a favorite dish (spanakopita) which, basically, is Greek peasant food... but my source makes it for my palate which likes to eat buttery and flaky filo, but also likes saisons that cut through the fat so I don't think I've sinned... or at least raised my cholesterol count. This is hard for a saison to do. And Claremont does it well.
In the meantime, I remain amazed that Benchtop gets distribution here in Chicagoland (to me, courtesy of Binny's Lincoln Park) where I'm heading back soon to find more.
