Pours as expected, with a pronounced musty finish on an ice cold lager. It’s not thrilling in the least, and it didn’t do much for me at all. Hard pass on this one, sorry.

better than its ratings, this is a dry hoppy new school american lager, dont come into it expecting a pils or something, its flavorful and fruity, boldly flavored but still delicate in feel, a warm weather ripper and a very well made beer, the most sessionable of the beers i had from these guys by far. pale yellow in color, clear for the most part, with a short but frothy white head. aroma is quite strongly hoppy to me, well in front of the simple malt base or lager yeast anyway, it almost stands alone to my sense of smell here. they use glacier hops, which i am not overly familiar with in this context, but i get subtle lime and melon, some high alpha bitterness, and some pine when i taste it, almost entirely in the finish. there is a mexican lager yeast strain in here too that i think highlights some of the fruitiness of the hops and gives them a little more nuance, i love this yeast, i wish more brewers would use it in this capacity. light and fresh crackery grain base, not much to it there, hops through the dry finish, and great carbonation makes it refreshing as can be, especially in hot weather. a nice beer, modern and well executed, highly drinkable!
