Rocked this one at the 22nd annual dipa festival in 2022 in Hayward, CA. Was one of my faves from that day, you see that Silva name, heck yeah I'm gonna see what its all about.

Pours a light amber color, doesn't really fit into any ipa subgenre, its kind of cloudy but not quite hazy. 3/4" off white, dense head. Real good retention for a dipa, that carafoam worked well here. The aroma has the usual lightly sweet non rind citrus impact of Citra, a light oregano, sage and dill Equinox spice rack impact.

The bittering is pushed along by Simcoe and Idaho 7. More pine than rind. Mouth feel complicated by a heavier peanut shell like twang, hello says Idaho 7 giving the woody impression I suspect. The beer hits a lot of the typical style markers, 55 ibu like bitterness, Citra hops, Simcoe hops, you've been here before. Perhaps the Chilean Pale Malt and Cryo Idaho7 were the distinguished aspects.

This isn't as good as Green Flash ipa used to be. But its still pretty good.

Poured on 6/24 from a crowler dated 6/21. Thanks to @hophound for this Central Coast offering.
Pours a beautiful gold tinged amber color. Fluffy head leaps upward 2 inches and then settles to a nice, consisitent half a finger high, foamy bliss. Off-white in color and some nice lacing.
Smell is somewhat citrusy, but then brings more of a resiny kiss. A pleasant malt note hovers in the background.
Flavor is even better than the nose. Piney, resin, and citrus notes bathe the palate. The malt shines through but is still tempered by the hops. I really enjoy this push-pull between the malt backbone and the hops. Solid!
Mouthfeel is slightly full for style. I love it. Carbonation is between low and medium. Nice slick finish.
Overall, I hope this gem is offered regularly because I want to try this fresh from the tap. Silva Brewing, you're in my travel plans.
