Had this at Comrade Brewing (had a great selection of guest taps) during that May/June trip to Denver in 2019.
Had a yellow hazy kind of appearance with 1/4" white head. Quite a bit of particulate in this one based on the appearance. Not a big deal, its an ugly style of beer. The aroma (and every other aspect of the beer) was much better. Big dose of that hallertau blanc hop, definite white wine impressions, danky funky Nelson hop is in an interesting spot here playing second chair, but it works and is complimentary.
Taste was much the same as the nose, great hop combo going on, but bringing a unique sensation, its not just the usual blast of Mosaic/Citra/Nelson kind of tropical and citrus juiciness, this brings all the complexities of white wine grape varietals, the dryness of the mouthfeel into the equation with a back end of weed and shit. Pretty cool stuff. Was my first beer from these guys and not only would I have this again in a heartbeat, I'll definitely give their other offerings a shot if/when I come across them again.

Snapshot review:
Doughy malt, lemon/lime, slight lemongrass, grassy, herbal aroma, with some tropical fruit pineapple notes. Full and soft mouthfeel without being burdensome and slightly dry. Super clean and clearly well crafted.
Excellent stuff and my first offering from Outer Range.

a collaboration with rar, this is the kind of beer i have come to expect from outer range, and the most true to their identity of the recent round of cans i got into. its a real thick and hazy ipa done with an awesome hop combination of nelson and hallertau blanc, and i think the beer brings out the best of both, and they sure come together well. quite a bit more starchy looking than the others i had in this session, more like what i am used to in their beer, filling enough from the grain weight and overall rawness that its kind of a one and done, but that doesnt diminish the enjoyment at all, the hops are epic in this. the familiar nelson profile is front and center in the nose, while the nuance of the hallertau blanc is a little more assertive in the taste, strong candied citrus here, lemongrass, lime, sauvignon blanc, ripe cantaloupe, hay, and summery potpourri. its so insanely fresh, it has to be just canned, the hop taste is so vibrant. it has that cryo hop intensity to it, where the hops arent just at the end but all the way though, and its nelson to the dome, which i adore. i could do with a scaling back of the heavy haze, but if thats a necessary vehicle for all the hops, i am about it. awesome new england ipa here, especially for the nelson fiends like myself!
