Thanks, Nick!
Got this from Nick on a recent trip to Colorado, even though we weren’t supposed to exchange beers. I had tried a few from Outer Range, really liking both on the reviews (4.27 for In the Steep and 4.08 for No Such Thing). The hops mentioned on the can were Barbe Rouge (no clue what that was), Columbus (big fan) and Huell Melon (not a fan).
Poured a pale yellow hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see some bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at a creeping pace. World-class foamy spiderweb lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled stone fruit, orange, floral, guava, melon, berry, pine, lemon, herbal, Circus Peanuts candy and orange creamsicle. More of the same from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Got stone fruit, orange, guava, melon, berry, pine, herbal, hints of Circus Peanuts, floral and orange creamsicle. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A very good beer, but I think I overrated this slightly. (Overall - 3.75)
