16 oz. Can

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, guava, peach, nectarine), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, guava, peach, nectarine), very nice diesel like. Medium Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer. Orange Julius! MilkShake! Addictive!

Was absolutely delighted to see Outer Range at Windmill Farms. I knew they made it to another place in town, but not here until I took a look while searching for other beers. Online description I found read “Outer Range In The Glades IPA is a 100% Mosaic hopped version of their In The Steep IPA and offers notes of lime, tangelo, and passion fruit.”

Poured a light golden hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of frothy white head. Could see some bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Perfect layered foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)

Smelled Mosaic, mixed berry, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, Juicy Fruit gum and soapy pine. Grew on me each whiff. Smelled almost as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)

Tasted Mosaic, mango, passion fruit, mixed berry, pineapple, soapy pine, strawberry, Juicy Fruit gum, guava, light peppery spice and wet grass. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Another excellent offering from Outer Range. (Overall - 4.25)

Peach yellow body, cloudy; thick and frothy white head, dense and creamy; sticky strings and patches of foam cling to the glass. Semi-dank aroma infused with notes of old citrus and tropical fruit notes. Oat-like malt base; dull, earthy citrus flavors; moderate to bold hop bitterness. Heavy mouthfeel; rich and velvety on the palate; rather dry overall.

This is a decent enough hazy India pale ale, heavy on the oat and, possibly, wheat, while being discreet with the citrus and fruity aspects. I understand that some associate Mosaic hops with berry-like and tropical fruit qualities, but I really don't get that with this beer. It's a great looking beer with a slightly better than average smell and taste.

Poured at 48 °F; no canning data available.

Juicy in the mouth, but very dry on the finish. My idea of a good time. Plenty of “west coast pine” and what some people would call “cat piss” (wouldn’t know, never owned a cat), but not a west coast IPA by any stretch. A modern beer that blends the best of all west coast and east.

Thick head that quickly bubbles away to a thin, soapy layer.

Medium mouthfeel.

A great option for the people who don’t like cloying juice beers and milkshake IPAs.
