Hopped with 100% Mosaic, this pale ale was crafted to showcase the nuanced fruit flavors and aromas we love from this hop. Passion fruit and blueberry spill out of the can from the moment it's cracked, and the tasting experience from start to finish is bright, fruity, and crushable.

Pint from draft at Flying Pig in Oceanside. Classic APA and it’s a Mosaic single hop so of course it’s delicious and distinct. Cryo makes it a bit danker and pungent rather than smooth lovely plain old Mosaic.

On top of the oasis location
Beautiful strata, golden color for the slight white head. Good retention that leaves a little bit of clumpy lacing.
The nose pops with an overall dank delivery of berries, lychee, some citrus, a melange of genericallytropical fruit. Quite nice.
Player follows the nose, pretty well, but it’s a little more subdued.
Mouth feel is just a medium, as decent carbonation, and finishes, smooth, and green.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass; born on 3/25/25. Pours hazyish yellow with two+ fingers of head. Great lacing and mouthfeel. Subte tastes of citrus, guava, and other fruits. Excellent beer, top notch beer. Love this one.

Picked up a four pack of pint cans. No date on can.
Pours a slightly hazy light, golden in color with a half inch of frothy white head on top that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass as you drink. Carbonation looks below average with a few bubbles rising up. Looks refreshing, if a bit thin.
Aroma is guava, lemon, berries, pineapple and floral zest with some buttery malts lingering in the background. Also a somewhat earthy, tart note. Pretty fresh.
Taste follows the nose well. Quintessential mosaic hoppiness with just enough balance from the malts, which are mostly of the buttery, cracker variety. Finishes mostly bitter with lingering tropical fruit and berry.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium bodied. A bit thin, and plenty of zest on the swallow. A touch of mineral water. Finishes pretty crisp and dry. A bit over carbonated for my taste, but it is refreshing and dangerously drinkable.
Another solid offering from Burgeon. It's not quite my cup of tea, but if you are a fan of Mosaic hops this is a great showcase of them. I do like them, but I must admit I am becoming a bit bored with the single hop varieties which feature them, as there are many. Still, I wouldn't turn this down if offered, but not sure I'd seek it out myself. Cheers!

Light in color, maybe a bit too late. Almost looks like a domestic lager which is not necessarily flattering.
Smell is nice, I get lots of fruit like pineapple. Taste follows it well, nice balance of pine and fruit. Not too sweet. Mouthfeel is heavy on carbonation which I like. Gives the beer plenty of life, zest etc. this is solid PA. I would partake again.

Had on tap at Burgeon tap room/Carlsbad. Excellent WC Pale Ale. Super job with selected Mosaic + Mosaic Cryo hops.

Pours a slightly unfiltered yellow color with a foamy white head. The nose is very dank, with lots of mango and ripe berries, and a bit of pineapple.
The berries are forward on the taste and delicious, with the mango and pineapple following, as well as a bit of crack malt.
Very nice, especially with the crisp, dry mouthfeel.

Total Garfield beer (and I’m not talking about the bearded former president). This beer is cat piss galore. Like, Frisky had a party and had a full bladder, “galore.” Wow…

On tap, into a 22 oz weizen glass
Straw-yellow color, bubbly, wispy 1/4inch head never fully recedes.
Subtle bouquet, grassy with hints of citrus rind
Flavors are crisp and refreshing. Subtle pine snap, hints of lemon tea. Offset by and earthy grainy aspect. Light complexion ushers in a quick, clean finish with little lingering residuals.
They call this Carlsbad Crush for a reason. Even with the nearly sessionable abv, way too easy to throw back.

Great warm weather beer. No koozie can that makes me want to drink more. Very smooth ipa with a late citrus vibe. It’s good, I’d recommend it. Well done burgeon!

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a wispy cap; OK lacing;
S: each whiff brought a new aroma; grass, floral, mango, blueberry, pineapple; don't think I've ever gotten all that from a Mosaic beer before;
T: floral up front; the middle is floral blueberry; mango toward the finish; floral in the aftertaste; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: great aroma; nice complexity in the flavor;

Pours from a can a clear straw gold with decent foam. Big, big mosaic aroma on the nose, all cantaloupe and blueberry notes. Crisp and clean, true to pale ale, with a flavorful finish.

Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass

Misc.: Canned on March 3, 2020
Had this before, giving a taster a 4.00 on Untappd at the Festival of Dankness on Aug. 24, 2019. It was pretty much right up my alley being Burgeon and 100 percent Mosaic. Online description read, “Hopped with 100% Mosaic, this pale ale was crafted to showcase the nuanced fruit flavors and aromas we love from this hop. Passion fruit and blueberry spill out of the can from the moment it's cracked, and the tasting experience from start to finish is bright, fruity, and crushable. Poured a medium yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of white head, which thinned out rather quickly. Could see some slow-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at a slow speed. Very good spotty lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled tons of Mosaic (obviously). Specifically blueberry, viney berry, stone fruit, passion fruit, Juicy Fruit, mango, grapefruit peel, pine and some cat piss. Similar notes from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. Very soft and juicy. In order got Mosaic, blueberry, stone fruit, passion fruit, pine, peppery spice, mango, grapefruit peel, viney berry, herbal, peach and apricot. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Just an excellent pale ale. Glad I picked up a can of this. This will be involved in future golf outings for me. (Overall - 4.25)
