Spanish for rhythm, Ritmo is a refreshingly light, sweet, and crisp Mexican style lager brewed with Pilsen malt and a hint of flaked corn.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of fresh grain, some citrus. Tastes of fresh grain with just a hint of salt and lime. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Bought on a beer run to Kenosha's Woodman's, Ritmo was a decent lunch lager. I drank it while eating a southwest veggie burger divided between two sweetish BBQ sauces. The pairing made the average meal better.

Ritmo, however, Looks average; more foam, please. Smells are sweet malt. Tastes are balanced and, I agree, there is corn in there. Light-to-medium mouthed, there were enough bubbles to cleanse the palate and wash down an ordinary lunch.

While only my second from Eagle Park (the first was 32 months ago), their dedication to crafting shows. They make their money on IPAs, but they can brew this simpler and more subtle style. Founded by two brothers who also like to play music, Eagle Park also serves food at a suburban taproom. This micro is now pushing seven years old, a good time to expand their program. Any suggestions ?
