Brazilian Eagle’s Agility” is a 13.4% ABV Amburana Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Hazlenuts and Brazilian Chamissonis Vanilla Beans added. It spent 30 months in the most expensive wood on the planet. I love the character of the wood, it reminded me of a mild cigar dipped in coconut. The Stout took on deep woody notes, marzipan, brown sugar, milk chocolate, and samoa cookie flavors from this unique wood like Grace, but adds a nutty characteristic and a ton of vanilla. It is easily my favorite of the Amburana trio of beers, and it worked out where I saved the best for last with these beautiful barrels.

Poured like a nice stout, nothing more, nothing less. Solid.
Smell strong of hazlenuts and chocolate oak, not dark chocolate but not on the milky side either, don't want to say sweet - just can't nail it. Very strong smell that was not unpleasant, but was not heaven-like either, just very damned impressive.
Taste - a different story completely. It was the barrels - just couldn't get there. You can read about it, they just didn't work for me, but interesting enough.
Feel - decent.
Overall - pretty cool to try, and have the other variations as well, but at $45 for 12 ounces, it’s way too much in general, but in this case especially given the quasi experimental nature of the barrels.
