Clear brown body as a clean pour. Amazing blend of bourbon barrels in the nose: molasses, brown sugar, booze, toasty and charred woods, slight creme brulee melding into the barley, caramel malt, big toffee, and accented of dry earth. Taste swirls the barrel notes around the base barleywine that leans sweet that gets balanced out by the barrel treatment. In short: sophisticated barrel candy. Smooth and warming, barrel character runs the mouthfeel with the malt and barley being the base. A delightful complex yet smooth sipper
