Pours a clear, garnet color with a tight, off-white head that leaves little bits of lacing.
Smells of toasted malt.
Tastes of the toasted malts layered over some earthy hops. Malts lead off with notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted bread. This gives way to some nuttiness and dark fruits. A bit of earthy hops adds towards the end to balance things out. Finishes with a small hit of fruits.
Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a solid ESB.

Had on tap at the brewery. For an ESB style I suppose it was ok/drinkable but higher ABV at 6% than normal pushed the boundaries for a usual sessionable style.
