No canning date (released on 12/2/20, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 1/11/21
Pours a dense, glossy black body with vague, muddy maroon accents and topped with multiple fingers of thick, fluffy, pale mocha foam; good head retention leaves a sliver of creamy cap, moderate, frothy collar, and substantial layering of uniform, webby lacing circling the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with fresh dark-roast coffee beans, sporting an air of minerality carrying into richer, raw dark chocolate against a mild malt roast and sparking a beautifully integrated yeast; freshly toasted black bread develops with a slightly earthy roast atop distant fruity yeast into the back end while suggestions of charry malts progress over time to nutty characteristics on the close.
Taste features burnt cocoa husks and lighter walnut leanings upfront, brightened with minerality and a touch of indiscernibly floral/fruity hops interwoven; spent coffee grounds come through over the mid-palate as a minerality re-emerges into back end, where an overarching, charry roast dominates and a touch of roasty coffee bean finishes.
Mouthfeel offers a medium-light body with a moderate carbonation, crackling-dry as it fades into the mid-palate, a premeditated roast and subdued grit encompassing the palate as a result; a lightness washes over the back end, carrying the well-established roast with it for a crisp, rounded, and focused finish.
A dark lager with vivid, nutty expressions of coffee and cocoa leveling out a persistently charry malt base; the mineralic subtleties offer a bright quality bolstering the palate, a freshness to the roast elevating the beer comprehensively.

1 pint can from Total Wine.
Deep brown color with so so head.
Not much smell that I could sense.
Nice taste. Easy to drink. Smooth. Not very rich, but didn't expect it from this style.
Feel is a bit weak. Thinnish.
Overall a good beer, worth having as an "anytime" beer.
