2023 vintage; consumed on 7/20/2023
Pours a dingy, near jet-brown body topped with two fingers of soapy, pale beige foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of wavy cap, a persistent, frothy collar, and limited array of webby lacing spread temporarily across the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens to chunky peanut butter as a tinge of roasty coffee accents; supportive chocolate notes sport slight vanilla as a tepid bourbon barrel presents over time.
Taste offers a subtle char guiding to a coffee roast extension upfront, with vague peanut butter embracing dark cacao subtleties through the mid-palate as a soft vanilla finish cedes to a faded bourbon imbuement lingering.
Mouthfeel features a medium-light body and a moderate spritz of carbonation, with flaky texturing underscoring creamy interludes over the mid-palate for a delicate, slightly dry back end.
Vivid peanut butter stars in a passive profile gently interspersing airy sweetness across basic levels of roast and minimal barrel; solid, if largely subdued overall.
