Tall pint pours a pale, hazy yellow with a solid two-finger foam cap. Smell is usual - beer. Pine, melon, both a tropical and grassy nature . Taste is pretty similar. The grassy quality came up front, followed by some restrained tropical fruit notes. Full in body with some resinous quality that rounds it out. This is very enjoyable.

From a 16oz can with no date on it
This is a murky and hazy looking beer in the glass. It is a pale golden color. There's a thick 3 finger white head. I am liking the head retention with this strong of a beer. There's some good lacing on the glass.
There's a lot of tropical hop notes in the nose. Lots of cantaloupe. There's pineapple notes. There's a bit of dankness in here. Hints of pine also touch my nose.
Taste - Wow! The hops are the star of the show, and they're all over the place in a good way. There's a Hint of dankness right away, and it does linger throughout. The dankness is added to with some cantaloupe. There's a hit of pineapple. There's a touch of pine that also shows up in the mix. There's a bit of bitterness on the back.
The body is pretty full. There's a resin feeling to the beer. There's a lot of depth to the feeling. This beer doesn't drink like a 10%+ beer - no alcohol burn. I am burping up hops for a long time.
This is a very well made beer. Blackstack does make beers of this style that can compete with the breweries that invented the style. This is one of those beers.
