Locust Lane Craft Brewery "ESB"
on tap at the brewery on 1 April 2017

Look: Hazy deep-amber body beneath a slightly off-white head. Average head retention and lacing.

Smell: Fruity due to British yeast: dark fruit, plum, fig, pear, apple. Leafy hops.

Taste: The flavor follows. It's fruity with some toasty malt, a medium bitterness, and leafy and mildly grassy hops in the finish.

Feel: Medium-light in body with a soft, smooth, moderate carbonation.

Overall: A clean, nicely balanced, soft bitter that might not make it to "ESB" status but would certainly qualify as a quaffable pint in most English pubs.
