District 96 is simply the best brewery in the Hudson Valley. Their beers compete will all the world class beers at Hill Farmstead, Tree House, Foam, and Trillium. Misunderestimated is an outstanding example of a New England IPA - juicy, great citrus in the finish, not too sweet (as with some NE IPAs). Well balanced. Flavor lingers long after the sip is finished.
An overall outstanding IPA.

I had this on draught at The Burger Loft. 12 oz. pour served in a goblet. It's a pretty pour: cloudy tangerine in color with a foamy, milk-white head and lacing. After the olfactory delight of Father Of All Bombs, I thought the nose was rather subdued with only the obligatory citrus and pine. However, the taste is bold with abundant lemon, grapefruit, and grass. It's very dry and has little bitterness. This ale is medium in body with lively carbonation and is very drinkable with its manageable 6.5% ABV. Overall, it's a nice NE style IPA although it suffered a bit by comparison to Father Of All Bombs, which was outstanding. That said, a lot of new brewers could only wish to brew something this good.
