L - huge, dense offwhite head atop a translucent orange body.
S - strong herb, orange, grapefruit, earthy.
T - pungent orange and grapefruit followed by a huge dank push. Earthy and floral hops follow. Bubble gum, melon, cheese. Moderate-low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body with higher than usual carb.
O - clearly The Bruery knows what they’re doing here. Solid.

Had this on tap at the Bruery, September 25, 2017, just before the final Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers show at the Hollywood Bowl. Has that hazy dullard yellow appearance with 2/5" white head. Seemed like the nose was giving off a more old school vibe, leaned on the non proprietary C hops, but also Citra and Simcoe it seemed. Enjoyable, nice to smell something different than the usual these days, despite having plenty of tropical fruit notes, it also brought the older vibe to the table.
More simcoe like hops in the taste for sure. It looks like a hazy NE ipa, but its bitterness and flavor seem just as much in the west coast ipa camp. The carbonation is a little lower so that helps lessen the bitterness impact. Its not like its a 100ibu bomb, prolly around half of that. The bittering hops bring something different to this equation, they're like different, but like all new hop varieties, come from older ones, so there is some familiarity lumped in with my questions.
Usual suspects of oats are in here and help coax along the beer into less bitter confines.
It was a good beer, but much like every other Offshoot beer, I wouldn't jump through the hoops of pickup windows and high cost to get it.
