First review in this place. Another beer that made its first appearance at the Bruery Terreux's Wild & Hoppy Beer Festival held on March 3, 2018. Its commercial tug job indicated it was all about the cryo hops. Pours a hazy brassy yellow, kinda thick and oatsy with 1/2" white head. Aroma was kinda underdone expectation wise, cryo Citra and Eukanot weren't going hard. Mild citrus rind note to it.
Taste revealed that the Simcoe and Eukanot hops were pushing the bitterness in a big tree direction. The flaked oat haziness didn't stand up well to a bitterness that wasn't all that flavor driven. The London yeast notes are perceptibly different here, its kind of a niche Offshoot seems to go with in multiple hoppy beers. Was the least memorable beer in the hoppy department that day. There were no off flavors or anything, but when you make $4+ hoppy beers, they have to be spectacular, since there are $1.25 hoppy beers that are easily available at your supermarket.
