Gratitude to @2beerdogs for giving me this one when I was down in LA recently.
Body is that opaque creamy orange/gold like the colour of apricot flesh if you put it in image editing and turned the saturation down to give it a more 'grey' appearance (but not actually grey). Massive three fingers of lacy white bubbles that eventually settle back down leaving periodic dots of lacing along the glass.
Nose has some interesting elements to it... tough to nail down right off the bat (might have to do with the hops being used... I'd never even heard of Southern Passion nor African Queen [the hop, not the boat. Or Katharine Hepburn]).
The first thing I get is actually a sappy coniferous pine. There's some berry and melon and some vegetal earthiness as well.
Flavour has elements of bruised tropical fruits and mellow citrus and pine. A slight melon tinge, but it's really more of an all encompassing slant/suggestion than an acute flavour. Bitter finish.
Soft body with lively carbonation. Actually carries the full flavour of the hops through the whole thing, which is nice. So many of these hazies feel like there's a section cut out... kind of like the difference between sucralose or aspartame vs actual sugar. This one does not suffer from that imposterism, for which I am grateful!
Thanks Derek!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
