Thanks to 2beerdogs (or maybe Roguer. Shenanigans may have ensued.) for this one. 16oz can (dated 6/12/20) poured into 14oz teku. Poured an ugly dark yellow/light brown (just shy of babyshit beige) color with 1-1/4 inch of dirty white head that had decent retention and lacing.
The aroma was that of a typical Murkbomb; frooty hops, almost no grain, no yeast.
Very similar on the tongue, but a touch of bitterness on the finish was a redeeming factor.
The body was the typical light-medium of the style, with a medium finish.
Drinkability was, if somewhat, I dunno, something? Not terrible, but not really enjoyable either. Very confusing.
Overall, except for the visuals (seriously. Why do breweries make beers this color? If you set this in front of a non-beer nerd, without any other info, they would likely say wut da fuq is with that color?), it's a nicely average murkster.

Absolutely murky, with an opaque body right on the border between brown and orange. Excellent head production, good retention, and very nice lacing.
Nose is not lacking in aroma, swimming with tropical and citrus fruit notes and bright herbs. Orange, papaya, mango, pineapple, lemon, oregano, pepper, peach, honey, cracker, white dough.
A touch astringent at first, it evens out very nicely, with a very soft mouthfeel retaining a touch of bite. Lighter bodied than I expected for an 8.5% IIPA.
Delivers plenty of hop flavor, but I expected more sweetness from the malt base, and it comes across a touch drier and more vegetal. Flavors include orange, citrus peel, grass, oregano, parsley, mango, passionfruit, grapefruit pulp.
Improves with each sip; it definitely grows on me. It's not one of OffShoot's better IPAs, however.

Presentation: 16 oz. can with the canning date printed on the bottom. Served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: The two finger head stays around for a long time and settles into a thick foam layer. It leaves a lot of lacing in thick patches and rings all over the glass. It's a murky, very dull gold color.
Smell: There's some fresh cut grass, grains, mango, grapefruit, passion fruit and a slight hint of pine resin.
Taste: There's almost no bitterness. It's juicy with notes of mango and fresh grapefruit pulp. There's a slight chalky graininess present throughout.
Mouthfeel: It's thick, rich and creamy with medium carbonation.
Overall: It's a very good beer overall and the texture is great but the scent is faint and the taste is just too bland to really stand out.

Pours a turbid peach hued orange. Fluffy white cap pushes assertively, holds at 2 and a half fingers in vertical, slowly settles to a smattering tiny clusters of bubbles. Scattered lacing.
Aromas of orange, lemon and grapefruit zest, melon, gritty biscuit, and a hint of dark honey akin to buckwheat honey.
Flavor begins with a melange of orange, orange zest, mild malt sweetness that makes space for melon. Gently juicy, but the biscuity malt note brings my attention to the feel of this beer. It's not as pillowy or soft as a lot of the NEIPA's, but it nods in that direction a bit. Ironically, it comes off as a little chewy for a DIPA. But this stands out for me...in a good way.
Overall, I like this one. I feel it is one of the less forward hopped beers that Offshoot has produced in a while.
