A pounder can into a mug appears hazy orange with white head that leaves soapy lace.

The aroma is herbal and catty with dirty melon, slight citrus and grass.

The taste has melon, straw to grassy with hernal pith and pulp bitterness.

Ita medium in body and modestly carbonated. its ok. glad i didnt buy mire than 1 can

Pale apricot color, citrus smell and taste on the lighter side of the NE IPA spectrum. Gets a bit of bite and bitterness from the carbonation that reminds me of a mimosa with a bit more champagne. Similarly, Carbonation affects the mouth feel- a bit of a bite rather than a silky smooth finish. Overall, a nice NE that I would enjoy again.

Pours a golden straw that is completely opaque. Atop is a finger of white foam that retains fairly well. Aroma is a big wallop of mango, orange, tangerine, and other tropical fruit blends. It has a big hit of sweet hops that dominate the aroma, foreshadowing a potentially huge flavor profile. Flavor profile is a dense display of orange, tangerine, papaya, mango, lime, and passionfruit. Despite the long list of tropical fruit descriptors, the flavor profile remains more balanced (i.e. less sweet) than the aroma would let off. A hint of plum and biscuit malt in the back help tone down the sweetness a touch. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a velvety, semi-grainy texture giving this beer a large presence. Overall, a huge flavor bomb, but one that doesn't come off as artificial or harsh.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Brewmasters - Wilson, poured into a snifter glass. had a dark orange color and a cloudy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing.

S: A very good aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and tropical fruit.

T: Tasted of a mild amount of sweet malt (not overly powerful), a good shot of hops, a little caramel, some citrus fruit (tangerine, grapefruit), and tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit). A fruity and juicy flavor. A well-hopped NE IPA flavor, with a lot of fruity elements. Well-balanced. Not as juicy as some NE IPAs, but still tasty.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a super smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: An extremely solidly made IPA. Very much drinkable.

A: Pours a murky medium golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow + burnt orange + honey colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy tropical/passionfruit, citrus/grapefruit. citrus/tangerine, tropical/mango, tropical/guava, tropical/pineapple, and tropical/papaya hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel + wheat + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + caramel + wheat + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by just shy of strong flavors of juicy tropical/passionfruit, citrus/grapefruit. citrus/tangerine, tropical/mango, tropical/guava, tropical/pineapple, and tropical/papaya hops which impart a hint of bitterness and fade away quickly leaving a lingering tropical + citrus + pithy hops flavor.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderately fluffy with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol, a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel, and a really enjoyable citrus + tropical hop profile, very enjoyable and I would gladly have another of these.

“Strength to Strength”: that would be the title if there was a book about Revision Brewing from Nevada. I don’t know what they’re doing but every beer I’ve tried of theirs has been a “Northeast-Style Hazy IPA” that tastes like a mango smoothie Ganesha might drink – that is to say exceptional. And IDK, maybe it has just been a case of me actually trying fresh American IPAs for the first time, but these brews are tasty AF (or TAF which I will now declare as an acronym henceforth). So with expectation levels at an all time high, and having recently drunk a can of Tahoe Haze, Gimme Da Loot! goes into this review with a massive cross to bear. The listed hop bill doesn’t help either: Amarillo, Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic – this’ll be awesome!

Poured from a 473ml can into a nonic pint.

A: Hazy AF yeah! Body is light and Jonquil coloured with a pleasing white cappuccino foam head that slowly compacts to a thin blanket on top. Splotchy lace patterns inside the glass as it goes down. Rather excellent colour/head. 9/10.

S: Aroma is a tropical fruit salad of pineapple/mango/paw paw/guava/you name it, along with a herbaceous grassy green hop note and nary a hint of malt. Yep, Revision are doing that ole “East-meets-West” IPA thing that they’ve done in the all the brews I’ve tried of theirs (admittedly 3 now) and it works. Of course it works: that’s the genius of combining New England and West-Coast styles – they’re both awesome in their own ways, find a way to mix the best combination of each and *ching-ching-ching* Gimme Da Loot! 9/10.

T: Pineapple upfront, mango/paw paw/guava comes in, hints of tangerine add a citric note, towards the middle comes a very light biscuit malt base, and finishes with a touch of that herbaceous grassy green hop character noted above and a mild bitterness. Overall flavour profile is Sparkle Muffin with more tropical fruit and less pine resin “green” character. I’m more partial to SM… hmm, should probably spell that one out: Sparkle Muffin, for that reason. 9/10.

M: Mid to heavy bodied, creamy/dense carbonation = ACES! 10/10.

D: These Revision guys. They’re the best amirite? It’s like when I first had DirtWolf and a few other Victory beers and I was just blown away by the hop character. That’s what Revision are doing now, and for an old (not that old thank-you-very-much) hop-head like me I’m more than happy to sit down and chill with a brew like this. Tahoe Haze just inched this in fresh hop notes though. 9/10.

Food match: Soo much fruit salad in this beer! Give roasted pork belly a go.

Canned 4/4/18.
Look: Yellow gold in color. Hazy in appearance, with about 2 fingers worth of head. Loads of residual lacing. Very appealing looking beer.
Smell: Bursting with mango, pineapple, passionfruit, and guava. There is a nice citrus appeal to the beer as well, with lemon and grapefruit standing out. There is a light floral aroma to the beer as well.
Taste: Citrus and stonefruit forward, with a mango-lemon finish. Apricot, peach, lemon and grapefruit also detected. The hops are also evident, and presented in a lemongrassy floral manner. The citra, mosaic and galaxy hops are all evident, and very welcome in the flavor compilation.
Feel: Medium in body and weight, with moderate carbonation. Beer has a pleasant soft feel with some bitterness. Very smooth and easy drinking.
Overall: I was very excited to trying this beer and I was not let down, despite being a little over a month old. This beer brings a perfect balance of hop and fruit flavors to the table, and I am very much enjoying it. I am grateful to have tried this beer. Cheers!

Hazy gold with a quickly fading white head. Pineapple, grapefruit, sweet malt in the nose. Lightly sweet and bitter with the pineapple some peppery mango and a pithy bitter finish. Really good carbonation. Nice tasty, fruity, juicy beer with a great bitter finish.

The beer pours out a full on hazy golden yellow color, with 1 finger of white head-------------- the aromas are of pineapple, guava and papaya(over ripe pungent tropical fruit) ---------------- the flavors are of tart pineapple, guava, basil and papaya, the beer has a medium to full mouthfeel with a light bitterness on the finish----------------- overall this beer was delicious so much over ripe tropical fruit it's almost unreal

Another mighty fine Revision IPA. Pours a mildly hazy straw gold color with white head and minimal lacing. Nose is a cacophony of fruity, juicy, hoppy deliciousness . Taste follows .Would pick this again. Excellent for the style.

While Notorious BIG is vastly overrated, this is one of his best jams. Oh wait, wrong gimme da loot review. Anyways, this pours an almost milky yellow it is beyond hazy, just straight up chicken gravy/broth in equal parts, small thin 1/3" white head on the top. Aroma pops best on this one, all those aroma hops! I mean, its all aroma hops, Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic and Galaxy! Wow. So much citrus and tropical fruit notes all over it, tangerine, pineapple, dank herb, papaya etc. . .

The taste is big on the late addition hops, but there is an acidity with all those raw hops you feel in the stomach half way through. Fuck this stuff is as tough (but also delicious) as lambic on the GI tract. Tons of flaked oats I'm guessing, this might be their least "clear" ipa they make. I dunno, is it not cool that I didn't put the "mouth" feel part higher because of the stomach acidity? Oh well. I like the beer, it might be the best smelling Revision beer (which is saying a lot bc they dry hop so hard) and the taste is pretty good too.

Draft at PreFunk Boise. Very citrusy, and kind of tart. Juicy, but not in the same way as some of their previous releases. Lots of citrusy tartness, just shy of juicy. Good, but not up to their best efforts.
