Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.50%

Notes / Commercial Description:
Pete pedaled deep into the Sierras, dead set on a legendary expedition. Along the way he ran out of rations, and when he finally arrived at the brewery he wasn't the same dude, he was in a HAZE. He was babbling about discovering an oasis where Amarillo and Citra glowed pink in the Sierra sunset. Pete's Secret Stache... unchained, unfiltered and hazed out.

Can poured into a Russian River Brewing Co pub glass

A: Pours super hazy peachy golden orange amber with a frothy off white head that hangs around a while before settling to a firm layer and leaving some thick lacing.

S: Citrus, some tropical fruit, a touch of pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Juicy citrus, tangerine, orange, grapefruit, and lemon lime, tropical fruit, passion fruit, apricot, and peach, a touch of pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate,

O: Had to buy this one just for the name. Solid beer to go along with it.

Thanks, Chad!

Was grateful for pulling in this, along with 16 others, from Chad and Bill on a recent work trip to Reno, Nev. Revision arguably does the best haze and I had them at the fifth-best brewery coming into this haul. Online description read, “Pete pedaled deep into the Sierras, dead set on a legendary expedition. Along the way he ran out if rations, and when he finally arrived at the brewery he wasn’t the same dude, he was in a HAZE. He was babbling about discovering an oasis where Amarillo and Citra glowed pink in the Sierra sunset. Pete’s Secret Stache… unchained, unfiltered and hazed out.” Amarillo and Citra? Oh yeah.

Poured a hazy pale-to-gold color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Not that appealing. Could see some bubble streams streaking up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect spiderweb lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled orange creamsicle, orange blossom, pineapple, Amarillo, tangerine, grapefruit and spoiled peach. Better out of the can with orange, Citra, peach and Amarillo. (Smell - 3.75)

Tasted a little better than the nose. Seems like more hops than just Amarillo and Citra. Got orange creamsicle, orange blossom, spoiled peach, grapefruit, pineapple, Citra, Motueka (there’s not any according to description) and stone fruit. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, citrusy finish. (Feel - 3.50)

Wanted this to be better, but I might have overrated it overall. Could have been that it was almost seven weeks old, but just very good. (Overall - 3.75)

The beer pours out a full on hazy dark golden orange color, with 1 finger of white head---------- the aromas are of New England yeast, stone fruit, pine and orange--------- the flavors start off bitter with pine, orange and grapefruit, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a with an aggressive bitterness on the finish---------- overall this was a great mix of west coast meets new England, with bitter pine and new England yeasty vibes

On tap at the brewery and then from a can. Pours a murky orange-gold color with white head leaving significant lacing. Nose is mostly citrusy fruit .Taste follows with a mild bitterness .Another fine one from Revision.

Canned 9/12/18, consumed 9/27/18

L: Hazy & mostly cloudy light orange/dirty hay color, decent head, lots of nice bands of lacing.

S: Citrus fruits and lesser notes of peels, nice but just a bit mild. Would love to have the strength amplified a few notches.

T: Again mainly citrus fruity blended with some background pithy notes.

F: Smooth & soft, low carbonation, low bitterness, medium-thin body.

O: Another solid hazy in Revision's lineup. Probably middle of the pack for them but better than most of what's available out West for hazies.

Canned 9/12/18.
L: Goldenrod in color with hazy appearance. About 2 fingers of a frothy dense head. I love all the lacing this baby is leaving on the glass. Very good looking. Head retention is minimal, but does retain a nice frothy ring around the edge.
S: Citrus dominant. Orange, grapefruit, and tangerine make up the majority.
T: Follows the nose. Citrus forward, with the initial flavor being citrus dominant. The finish is slightly bitter with a lingering fruit sweetness.
F: Soft and full, very pillowy. Just as I want my NEIPAs to be. Carbonation is noted but minimal, making it oh so smooth.
O: Highly enjoyable. A typical Revision, and I mean that in the best of ways. The beer encompasses all that I love about Revision. A great citrusy nose, the perfect balance of fruit without losing that hop presence, and a heavenly mouthfeel. I am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!

Pours light orange, with a nice frothy cap. Although head retention is nothing to write home about, the lacing is fantastic. Smell is juicy, dominated by grapefruit notes, though not as pungent as some of the other Revision NEIPA's. Taste follows. This beer is pretty bitter for a NEIPA, and I like this. It's all juicy grapefruit and orange peel up front, and there is a noticeable hop "burn" on the back end. Fantastic feel body and carbonation for the style; these guys always nail this part. This is a very nice NEIPA by Revision that checks most (all?) the boxes. It's pretty bitter for the style though, which may be a negative for some.
