Ready for a tasty DIPA that maintains that island vibe? A punchy blend of Sabro, Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic hops brings to mind ripe mango, juicy oranges and coconut with aromas so thick you could almost float away on them.

16 oz can from Boise Co-op. Medium clear golden, foamy head dissipates to nothing. Big hoppy aroma with some caramel malts. Taste is also hop forward, classic resinous flavors, grassy, herbal, dank. Throwback, in a good way

Thanks, Chad!
Got this from Chad via Bill at the 2019 Firestone Invitational in one of our beer exchanges. Online description read, “West Coast DIPA brewed with Sabro, Citra, Nelson and Mosaic.” Coming around on Sabro, but the other three are legit.
Poured a light amber clear color with two fingers of white frothy head. Lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Decent watery lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled Nelson and Mosaic mainly, but also got the newish Sabro and Citra on the backend. Also Juicy Fruit, floral, stone fruit, mixed berry and white grape. Much of the same from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted Mosaic, bubblegum, Nelson, Sabro, tangerine, orange, Citra, stone fruit, passion fruit, mixed berry, floral, white grape and herbal. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just a terrific beer. (Overall - 4.25)

a cool combination of hops in this one, and, amazingly, its clear! i have had some clear ones from these guys in the past, but it seems like all haze lately, so i was stoked when it poured a nice shiny clear golden color, pretty beer with high luster under an inch of lasting white head. it smells interesting to me, not overtly tropical or citrus forward right away, a mineral thing and the grain actually seem to kind of come first, i expected to be slammed with sabro and nelson, and it presents itself as more balanced, a somewhat tamer nose than i am used to from these guys, but still very hoppy and appealing nevertheless. this is a little different expression of the hot new sabro than i have seen before, a little more mellow, still with a distinct fleshy coconut and oily profile, but here more familiar citra and mosaic are brought up to its level, obscuring some of its uniqueness i reckon. the nelson is also not as much front and center as i thought and hoped it might be, but its still distinctly vinous, with white grape and passion fruit notes, all real compatible with the canned pineapple character of the mosaic, and also, uniquely, with the bit of fuller bodied malt sweetness this has, which balances but also softens and carries this a bit further than they usually go, instead of one knockout punch in the center, its more of a prolonged, tactical assault. something a little different for these sexy hops, and something a little different from revision in my experience. i liked this a lot.

Pretty standard West Coast DIPAA, mango and other tropical fruits come through in the aroma and laten the pallet… Finish is pretty dry, very drinkable given the 8% ABV… Review is part of the app beta test
