An upside-down drinking, hazy IPA featuring Simcoe and CTZ. The hop combination presents citrus, floral and pine notes that you can really sink your teeth into. This is What We Drink in the Shadows.

16oz can from Boise Co-OP. Hazy, milky pour, medium yellow, patchy head. Light fruity aroma, citrus peel. Taste is sweet, gentle citric bitterness, and what seems like some lacto. Creamy feel.

You know I kind of wanted to see this TV program, half in part because it looked like the kind of thing to get cancelled in about 4 episodes.

Anyways, pours a hazy yellow. About 2/5" white head on it. Average retention, above average lacing. Not the prettiest beer, but the style has its limitations in that area. CTZ comes across nicely here, there is a dry (in both ways) hop of weed, apricot and orange.

Taste is nice as well, ample bitterness in the mouth feel to keep this feeling watery or trubby. Still pushing weed/apricot/orange/grapefruit notes. Eminently crushable drinkability wise. Revision keeps up the CTZ elite tier stuff, it ain't like this is the first time. Simcoe doesn't just provide bitterness there is some nice impact flavor wise giving that grapefruit/pine/mint like hit. Malt presence is that barley and flaked oat/wheat thing, it works nice and is relatively neutral here.

I only picked up a single of this because I never saw a 4 pack of it.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.

S: Mix of citrus with tropical and stone fruit, spicy pine, underlying herbal notes, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

T: Tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, and papaya, citrus, tangerine with a little lemon and grapefruit, spicy pine, underlying herbal faintly minty tones, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, somewhat lively carbonation.

O: Always cool to see a classic C hop get some time in a NE style IPA. The CTZ plays quite nicely with the Simcoe. Very solid beer.

Thanks, Chad!

Got this and some other goodies from Chad. I mean it was Revision. How could it not be good? Can description read, “An upside-down drinking, hazy IPA featuring Simcoe and CTZ. The hop combination presents citrus, floral and pine notes that you can really sink your teeth into. This is What We Drink in the Shadows.”

Poured a medium yellow hazy color with three fingers of frothy off-white head. Plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent uneven spiderweb lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled pretty good from the get-go. In order got citrus notes (would’ve said Citra if I knew it wasn’t in there), dank resin, skunky weed, pine, Columbus, Simcoe, black pepper, papaya and lemon zest. More citrusy from the can than dank weed. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but similar qualities. In order got dank resin, weed, pine, Columbus, Simcoe, black pepper, grapefruit pulp, tangerine, orange, papaya, citrus, lemon zest and herbal. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.00)

Just a really good beer for the style. Outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
